Are the Colors True to the Pictures Shown On the Site?
Due to lighting and edits, I would say no. Some of the glitter nail polish that is a light color will not look as pictured. Instead, it will be more of a faint color with sparkles.Â
As for the simple colors like purple, they will match the photo more. In my opinion, the lighter colors look a little paler in person. Depending on the polish, some may take a few more than two coats to reach a certain opacity which I will discuss next.Â

How is the Opacity?
Overall, the opacity is okay since certain nail polishes have a better opacity than others. The glitter nail polish and the lighter colors are the ones that have a lower opacity.
If you want a certain opacity, then expect to do 3 to 4 coats.
It is annoying dealing with different opacities when using multiple colors. Since some colors require more layers, the time it takes to finish a set will take longer.
How Is the Quality of the Nail Polish?
The quality of this gel nail polish is decent, considering it is a low-end gel polish.Â
Some nail polishes create bumps and bubbles, which can be frustrating, especially when using the matte topcoat. This could be happening because of how I prep my nails beforehand or how I applied the nail polish.Â
One thing I did realize was that these bumps only came up with some colors. I think you may need to shake the bottle or rub the bottle in between your hands to make sure the nail polish is smooth as possible.Â
As for the topcoats and the base coat, I had no issues with them. The topcoat does not need to be wiped after curing, which was said on their website. Also, the brush makes the application process easy, and it takes a minute and 30 seconds to cure under my UV lamp.Â
Is It Safe For My Skin and Nails?
I’m not gonna say that this is 100% safe for your skin and your nails, but for the most part, I would say yes. On Beetle’s website, it is said that their polishes are low odor, safe for skin, and 9 toxin-free ingredients.Â
Â
The 9 Toxins The Polish Does Not Have
- Formaldehyde
- Dibutyl Phthalate
- Toluene
- Formaldehyde Resin
- Lead
- Xylene
- Ethyl Tosylamide
- Paraben
- Champer

As for my experience using this nail polish, I did not have a bad reaction. I was scared that it might happen since I had a terrible reaction to Modelones Polygel.Â
I may not have had a bad skin reaction, but my nails did take a hit after a few weeks of using it. My nails became soft and brittle, and it was hard for me to grow them out, so I had to stop using the polish for a while.Â
This could have happened due to how I was taking off the polish. My nails are probably too fragile to be soaking in acetone for a long time.Â
Even though I didn’t have a bad reaction to the product doesn’t mean you won’t either. On their site, they did say the polish could produce an allergic reaction, so it is best to test it out on a nail first to see how your nails and skin react.Â
How Long Does This Gel Nail Polish Last?
Considering I use my hands and nails often, I would say the polish lasted around 4-5 days on my natural nails before the nails started chipping.Â
This may not be a long time, but if it was regular nail polish it would have lasted 2-3 days. Also, I didn’t expect this nail polish to last long, considering it is a cheaper gel nail polish.Â
When I applied it on fake nails, the nail polish lasted a long time, and it’s still on the nails now. I think this nail polish is better suited for fake nails, such as press-on nails or anything of that nature.
Where Can I Purchase This Product?
You can buy this product on Beetles website or Amazon.
Is It Worth The Price?
Since you get 20 different colors and 2 topcoats, and a base coat, I think it’s worth the price.Â
The size of the nail polish colors is small, but you do get a lot of uses out of it. You probably could use it over 10 times. It just depends on how you take care of them.Â
My Overall ReviewÂ
I will give this nail polish 4.5. It’s not the best gel nail polish, but I am reviewing it based on the price.Â
As a lower-end nail polish, I believe that this is worth buying. The colors are pretty, and I enjoy using this set. Also, there are many designs and color combinations you can do.Â
This is a decent set of nail polish, perfect for beginners. So, if you are interested definitely give it a try.Â
