Here is an antioxidant-rich jelly cleanser you should know about from Krave Beauty, and it is their Matcha Hemp Seed Hydrating Cleanser. It is used to clean your skin by removing any impurities and irritants without leaving any residue or a dry, tight after-feeling.
This hydrating cleanser also has ingredients to help your skin absorb moisture and seal it in. As a hydrating product, this is a cleanser for dry or sensitive skin, but any skin type can use it.

Key Ingredients
The key ingredients in this cleanser are vitamin B5, sodium PCA, and hemp seed oil.
Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic acid) is a water-soluble B vitamin with an anti-inflammatory effect, and it helps keep the skin quenched by absorbing moisture from the air. Sodium PCA is the salt form of pyroglutamic acid (PCA). PCA is a natural component of the human skin, and it attracts moisture from the air.
Hemp seed oil helps seal in any moisture your skin absorbs to keep you hydrated.
The Texture of This Face Wash
The product appears clear on the skin. In the bottle, the face wash has a translucent brownish tan color.
The face wash has a slimy, light gel-like feel when rubbing the product into the skin. It moves around very smoothly, and it feels very gentle on the skin. The face wash remains transparent as you spread the product around. When washing the cleanser off, it becomes a little white. The skin feels smooth and retains its moisture after a pat dry.
A Little Bit About My Skin
Before I tell you how my skin reacted to using this product, I think you should know more about my skin. I consider my skin type to be oily. As for my skin issues, I am currently dealing with dull/dehydrated skin, acne, large pores, and dark marks.
I took a break from using any skincare products for a year and, in doing so, resulted in my skin appearing dull and flaky. I also struggle with hormonal acne, and from that acne, I receive dark marks. So, now I have skin discoloration on my cheeks and chin area. Also, the pores near my nose are noticeably large.
How I Used This Cleanser
I use this face wash as my first step in my morning routine and as my second step in my night routine. I prefer to double cleanse at night, so I start with an oil cleanser and then follow with this cleanser.
After washing off the oil cleanser, I apply a quarter-size amount of the face wash to my wet face. I massage the cleanser on my face with my hands for about a minute, and then I wash it off with warm water.
In the beginning, I used this product twice a day, but later on, I started washing my face once a day due to irritation issues which I will explain later.
What Happened To My Skin After I Used This Cleanser
This cleanser, in the beginning, was excellent because I did not feel like it was drying my skin out after using it. With continuous use, nothing about this face wash stood out negatively during the first couple of weeks. It just felt like any other ordinary facial cleanser.
When things took a turn
A few weeks later, my skin began to feel irritated. After washing my face, I would feel a tingling sensation.
I was not sure at first if this tingling sensation was normal until the feeling became more unbearable. Eventually, that feeling carried throughout the rest of my skincare routine and became slightly more painful as I applied other products.
It felt like my skin was burning when I put my moisturizer on, and that was when I knew there was an issue. At this point, I was not confident that this cleanser was causing this uncomfortable feeling, so I had to gradually test out each product to find the culprit.
As I slowly began re-introducing the products into my skincare routine, I found out that this face wash was causing the irritation issue. I used my oil cleanser as my only cleanser to come to this conclusion.
What my skin looked and felt like
To give more detail, I didn’t feel that burning sensation all over my face. I only got that feeling in the areas I was dealing with dehydrated skin.
Although I bought this product because many of the ingredients are considered calming and would bring hydration to the skin, unfortunately, my skin was left looking pale and dry even when I tried to apply more moisturizer to those parts.
Problems I Have With This Face Wash
I didn’t have any other issue with the product other than how my skin reacted to it. Comparing my story to the reviews on their website, it seems like this product works for most.
I am not sure what caused the irritation, but it could be one of the following:
- The face wash did not pair well with another product in my skincare routine
- I could be sensitive to a specific ingredient
- There could be a manufacturing issue with the face wash I bought
How Can You Purchase This Cleanser

My Overall Review
After using this product for two months, I believe, you get a decent amount of the product compared to what it cost. With consistent daily use, I think this product can last up to four months. It is easy to squeeze the product out of the tube and feels nice and cool on the skin.
I do think that this cleanser does clean the skin without leaving any residue or a dry, tight after-feeling which is perfect if you have dry skin. Well, unless you are me and the product starts to irritate your skin after a couple of weeks of using it. So, definitely do a patch test with this product first before using it.
Would I purchase it again?
No, I will not purchase this product again. I think my skin would benefit more from oil or foam cleansers.
